RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE HEALTH FACILITIES
AUTHORITY; AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 94-313,
95-509 AND 96-402 TO CORRECTLY REFLECT THE
TERMS OF CERTAIN MEMBERS APPOINTED PURSUANT
TO SAID RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 94-313 adopted on May 5, 1994,
is hereby amended to reflect that the term of office of Dr. David
Nateman shall be for four years, in accordance with State
Statute, commencing June 4, 1994 and expiring June 3, 1998, and
that he shall continue to serve until his successor in office is
appointed and qualified.
Section 2. Resolution No. 95-509 adopted on July 13,
1995, is hereby amended to reflect that the term of office of
Rev. Richard M. Barry shall be for four years, in accordance with
State Statute, commencing June 4, 1995 and expiring June 3, 1999,
and that he shall continue to serve until his successor in office
is appointed and qualified.
Section 3. Resolution No. 95-509 adopted on July 13,
1995, is hereby amended to reflect that the term of office of
Deana Lee Ponso shall be for four years, in accordance with State
Statute, commencing June 4, 1995 and expiring June 3, 1999, and
that she shall continue to serve until her successor in office is
appointed and qualified.

Section 4. Resolution No. 96-402 adopted on June 13,
1996, is hereby amended to reflect that the term of office of
Dr. Charles R. Beber shall be for four years in accordance with
State Statute, commencing June 4, 1996 and expiring June 3, 2000,
and that he shall continue to serve until his successor in office
is appointed and qualified.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

Recommendation:
It is recommended that the attached resolution appointing members to serve four-year
terms on the City of Miami Health Facilities Authority, be adopted.
The Miami Health Facilities Authority assists health facilities in the City of Miami by
issuing tax exempt bonds for the acquisition, construction, financing and refinancing of
projects.
Background:
It is necessary at this time to make appointments for new four-year terms in order to have
a complete Board and enable the Authority to proceed on its function of issuing tax I
exempt bonds for hospitals and other health care facilities. f
Resolution 79-93 requires that Authority members must be residents of the City of
Miami.
