The Manuel Artime Community Center was chosen by the United
way kicked off campaign for a one day community sarvica project.
The iite chr.sen for the renovation was the Muni Park. The reason
being, t'h* deplorable condition of the playground. For example,
all of the equipment is termites infested making it a dangerously
environment for the children to play in.
The PrOect involves the removal of the above mention
equipment, installation of new, durable equipment, addition of
clean sand and a bright new Paint ;cab.
This kick off event is scheduled to take place kid -October
1996.
I strongly recommend this event do to its positive effect On
they children of this community.
