LEGISLATIVE LINE ITEM GRANTS FROM TIC, STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FOR MNOVATIONS AND iwROVEIv mm TO T'IM F6LLOWING PARKS: $37,500 FOR KINLOCK PARK; $25,000 FOR CORAL GATE PARK; ' AND $125,000 FOR SHENAzNil> OAH PARK, AUTHOMMIG THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, TO ACCEPT 17FE- SE LEGISLATIVE LINE ITEM GRANTS AND MPLEMENT THESE PROJECTS. WHEREAS, the 1996 Florida Legislature approved the funding of three (3) legislative line item gtants to the City of h1iarni for Kinloch Park, Coral Gate Park and Shenandoah Park- in the total ,amount of $187,500; and WIEREAS, $37,500 was allocated for Kinloch Park, $25,000 for Coral Gate Park and $125,000 for Shenandoah Park; and WHEREAS, to make these funds available the City Miami must enter into an appropriate contract. to administer and disburse the funds; and WHEREAS, said grant U'lill be used for renovations and improvements to these parks; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE COMMISSION OF THE, CITY OF NBAW FLOREDA: My COMUSSION WEETMG OF SEP 1 2 �96 I�,swc►6�rt�lcA Na. A r Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Three (3) legislative line item grants from the State of M, orida Department of Environmental Protection are hereby accepted for renovations and improvements to: (1) Kinloch Par&c, in the amount of $37,500, (2) Coral Gate Park, in the amount of $25,000, mid (3) Shenandoah Park, in the amount of $1 `5,000. Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized' to execute the necessary documents, in a farm acceptable to the City Attorney, to accept said grants and implement these projects. Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upnn its adoption. 'This legislation would farther authorize the City Manager to execute an. agreement with said agency for the implementation of th�eese projects .
