A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN FOR TERMS AS DESIGNATED HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Fo an City Cler &TY OF %11AM1. c LOPiDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM REvIs�2.8 June 19, 1996 -= SU_RiECT Twenty-five Appointments Needed to the Commission on the Status of Women mE-EaE'�CES (July 25, 1996 Agenda) ENCLOSURES (List of Members) The Commission on the Status of Women was created to inspire in women a desire for self improvement; to seek and encourage active involvement in community affairs by women; to encourage the participation of women in leadership roles; and to work toward legislation promoting equal rights and equal opportunities for women. All 25 members have terms which expire July 14, 1996. Each member of the Commission nominates five individuals to said board. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. The names on the list which do not show which Commissioner appointed her were names approved from a slate presented by the board liaison on July 14, 1994.
