A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONTINUED ENGAGEMENT OF THE LAW FIRM OF DAVIS, SCOTT, WEBER & EDWARDS, TO SERVE AS COUNSEL TO THE CITY OF MIAMI IN CONNECTION WITH THE MEDIATION IN MICHAEL POTTINGER, PETER CARTER and BERRY YOUNG V. CITY OF MIAMI, UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE ELEVENTH CIRCUIT, CASE NOS: 91-5316; 92-5145 AND 95-4555, WITH FEES FOR SAID SERVICES NOT TO EXCEED $15,000; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE SELF-INSURANCE AND INSURANCE TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 620103-653. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Attorney's continued engagement of the law firm of Davis, Scott, Weber & Edwards to serve as counsel to the City of Miami in connection with the mediation in Michael Pottinger, Peter Carter and Berry Young v. City of Miami, United States Court Of Appeals For The Eleventh Circuit, Case Nos: 91-5316; 92-5145 & 95-4555 is hereby approved, with fees therefor, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00, hereby allocated from the Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Account Code No. 620103-653 for said services. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. City of Miami. The attached proposed Resolution, submitted for your consideration, seeks approval of the City Attorney's continued engagement of said law firm and the allocation of additional funds for said services, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00, available from the City of Miami Self -Insurance and Insurance Trust Fund, Index Code No. 620101-653.
