Dear Commissioner Carollo:
The reason for this letter is to ask your help in order to
get a< vehicle donated from the city of Miami to Do Hostos
Senior Center Inc. located at 2902 N.W. 2nd Avenue.
De Roston Senior Center Inc. is presently receiving assistance
from City and County C.D.B.G, and monitors the center's ac-
tivities. We are a not for profit organization formed to serve
the Wynwood neighborhood to feed the elderly and all in need
for a< docent mead. De Hostos Senior Inc. actually runs with
3 elderly centers and the need is so great that the food
donated to us from different food recovery programs are being
halted, because of having no transportation to pick-up food
from these different food banks. In other words, the elderly
are left without a meal due to the enormous increase in the
numbers that come to our Center daily.
we are aware that the City of Miami has vehicles that already
paid its dues and are in the process of being replaced.
De Hostos would be grateful if a vehicle could be donated.
This is an EMERGENCY situation.
r
Sincerely,
BA4W
