BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, following individuals are hereby appointed as members of the City of Miami Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, each member to serve a term expiring May 1, 1997, or until the nominating commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first: APPOINTEES: Deferred Humberto Pellon Teresita Gyori Herb Bailey Rafael Cshp7aa NOMINATED BY: Mayor Vice -Mayor Wifredo Gort Commissioner Joe Carollo Commissioner Miller J. Fo an (April 25,1996 Agenda) City Clerk ENCLOSURES: (List of Members) The City of Miami Affordable Housing Advisory Committee was created to review the established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, the adopted City of Miami Consolidated Plan and shall recommend specific initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing, while protecting the ability of the property to appreciate in value. Please be aware that Ordinance 11253, which created this committee, states in part: "The City of Miami's Affordable Housing Advisory Committee shall include the following, which individuals may overlap with or be part of the Local Housing Partnership: 1. One citizen who is actively engaged in the residential building i industry. .2. One citizen who is actively engaged in the banking or mortgage industry. 3. One citizen who is a representative of those areas of labor engaged in home building. 4. One citizen who is designated as an advocate for low-income persons. 5. One citizen who is a provider of affordable housing. 6. One citizen who is a real estate professional. 7. Three citizens as appointed by the City of Miami Commission." [emphasis added] 'i All nine members of the committee have terms which expire May 1, 1996. Each member of the Commission nominates one individual to said committee. Four members are appointed by the Commission at4arge. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said committee.
