HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-96-0251used to provide food, transportation; and other social services to needy families in the East Little Havana area; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami may have available one (1) surplus car between April 25, 1996 and April 24, 1997, the effective period of this donation, that could be used for such a purpose; 'and i WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Commission, that, if available, one (1) surplus car be declared Category "A" surplus stock and donated to Vecinos en Accion; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: r i CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF 1 APR 2 51996 Resolution No. 96-- 251 24 Iv W I .. Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully seq. forth in this Section. Section 2. One (1) surplus city car is hereby.classified as Category "A" surplus stock, should such vehicle become available as surplus City stock. Section'3. Within the period of April 25, 1996 and April 24, 1997, said Category "All surplus stock, if available, is hereby 'donated to Vecinos En Accion, upon the execution of the appropriate release documents, to assist said organization's efforts to provide, food, transportation and other social services to needy families in the East Little Havana area. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
