BACKGROUND The . Department of Community Planning and Revitalization, Development Division, has administered the planning process for the development of the Air Transportation Facility on Watson Island. To help with this project, the City has entered into a Joint Participation Agreement, dated June 4, 1993, with FDOT for funding assistance, as approved by Resolution No. 93-333. The first phase of this project, the preparation of a Master Plan Study for the Facility, has been completed by Thompson Consultants International. As recommended in the Master Plan and with the concurrence of FDOT and the City Manager, we would now like to have a feasibility study prepared for the detailed operations of the Facility and then to commence design. For this purpose, FDOT has made available an additional allocation in the amount of $352,500, which is to be matched in an equal amount by the local agency, the City, prior to the expenditure of the funds. Said matching funds will be obtained from private operating and management entities that are part of the Air Transportation Facility. The attached Supplemental Agreement is the instrument for the distribution of these monies, and must be executed as soon as possible to reserve the funding for this year. 0 1
