BACKGROUND The forklifts at Marine Stadium Marina, Department of Public Facilities, operate on a daily basis and are frequently damaged due to their constant exposure to salt water and other corrosive elements. Major repairs are required to maintain the Taylor Model forklift operational for the boating season ahead. Due to the critical need of these repairs and in the interest of expediency, it is recommended that the City waive the requirements for competitive sealed bids and award this service to "Cayon Service Center". Failure to maintain this machine operational may result in the shut down of this facility. "Cayon Service Center" has proven to be reliable in providing repair services in the past. Additionally, it is currently the lowest and most responsive bidder. Funds for these services are available from the Marine Stadium Marina's operating budget, account number 350508, minor object code 340 (outside contractual services).
