TO THE MARITIME PARK BOARD TO SERVE AS EX OFFICIO VOTING MEMBERS. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of the Interlocal Agreement between Metropolitan Dade County (the "County") and the City of Miami (the "City") the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County passed and adopted an ordinance creating the Maritime Park Board; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the County ordinance creating the Maritime Park Board, the City is required to appoint two City Commissioners to serve as ex officio voting members to the Maritime Park Board. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF JAN 2 5 1996 Resolution No. 96- 22 0 Section 2. Commissioner Joe Carollo and Commissioner J.L. Plummer, Jr. are hereby appointed to the Maritime Park Board to serve as ex officio voting members. Section 3. L. Plummer, Jr. to the Maritime Park Board to serve as Ex-Officio voting members. BACKGROUND Pursuant to the Interlocal Agreement between Metropolitan Dade County (the "County") and the City of Miami (the "City"), the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County passed and adopted an ordinance creating the Maritime Park Board. On December 7, 1995, the City Commission passed Resolution 95-832 approving the Interlocal Agreement. In accordance with the provisions of the County ordinance creating the Maritime Park Board, the City is required to appoint two (2) City Commissioners to serve as ex officio voting members to the Maritime Park Board. Therefore, it is respectfully recommended that Commissioners Joe Carollo and J. L. Plummer, Jr. be appointed to serve on the Maritime Park Board. b6—
