WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received October 18, 1995 for the furnishing and installation of playground equipment at Lemon City Park Daycare for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eighteen (18) potential bidders and two (2) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this service are available from Capital Improvement Project No. 331386/Community Development Grant Fund No. 701401, Index Code 589301-860; and WHEREAS, the Daycare Center is in great need of this playground equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager, and the Director of Parks and Recreation recommend that the bid received from Leadex Corporation, be accepted as the lowest most responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this section. Section 2. The October 18, 1995 bid of Leadex Corporation for the furnishing and installation of playground equipment at Lemon City Park Daycare at a total proposed amount of $19,960.00, for the ;CITY CONMIBSIOn MEETING OF JAN 2 5 1996 RQUAtAtiou N*, 96-- 5 Department of Parks and Recreation, is hereby accepted, with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Capital Improvement Project No. 331386, Index Code 589301-860/Community Development Grant Fund No. 701401, Section 3. Funds for this improvement are available from the Capital Improvement Project No. 331386, "Lemon City Park Improvemnts".
