A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA, INC., FOR THE PROVISION OF TEN MOTOROLA PORTABLE RADIOS AND TEN CHARGERS, AT A TOTAL COST OF $19,070.00, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, PROPERTY MAINTENANCE DIVISION; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, PROPERTY MAINTENANCE DIVISION, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 580701-707; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAID EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Property Maintenance Division, needs to purchase ten (10) portable radios and chargers under existing Bid No. 94-95-123, from Motorola, Inc.; and WHEREAS, these radios and chargers are for the operation of the Property Maintenance Division of the City; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available from the Parks and Recreation, Property Maintenance Division, Account Code No. 580701-707; and i WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation recommend that this purchase from Motorola, Inc., at a total cost of $19,070.00, be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY cr r MMSS1ON NEE'TMG OF JAN 2 5 1996 Resolution No. 96- 1 Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The bid from Motorola, Inc., for the provision of ten (10) Motorola portable radios and ten (10) chargers, at a total cost of $19,070.00, for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Property Maintenance Division, is hereby approved, with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Department of Parks and Recreation, Property Maintenance Division, Account Code No. 580701-707. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a purchase order for this equipment. Section 4.
