Since 1982, this facility has been used by Catholic Charities for its Centro Hispano Daycare Center, under a use agreement. On April 14, 1988, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 88-299, authorizing the issuance of a revocable permit with Centro Hispano Daycare for an initial term of one year, which may be extended for additional one year periods, subject to the approval of the City Manager or his designee. In lieu of payment of the annual use fee of $100.00, Centro Hispano Daycare has made improvements to the building. As of last month, Centro Hispano Daycare moved to an enlarged facility in the Wynwood area. Subsequently, several organizations have expressed an interest in the use of this facility. • The Archdiocese of Miami, under the auspices of Catholic Charities, has expressed a desire to continue to occupy the building by changing the use to Centro Hispano Catolico and offering in this facility a variety of legal and social services for the immigrant community to include recent arrivals from Guantanamo, rather than utilize it as a daycare. • The Cuban Medical Association in Exile would like to found "The House of the Physician" at this site. • Haitian Human Services Foundation is interested in establishing a daycare facility. • Terry's Day School & Nursery has submitted a request to use the property for a daycare center. We, therefore, respectfully request the Commission's comments and input as to the City's course of action regarding these requests. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION: If the City Commission has no preference as to the future use of this facility, the recommended course of action may be to seek pr posals ` from local qualified organizations in providing social servil11-Sl
