BACKGROUND In an effort to promote economic revitalization within blighted City of Miami neighborhoods, the Commercial Facade Treatment Program was implemented, per Resolution #88-384, during the 14th Year of Community Development Block Grant Program. Since that time, many business exteriors have been improved with respect to paint, signs, awnings, etc., resulting in upgraded living conditions of the affected areas, enhanced neighborhood services, and increased benefits to the community. Therefore, it is requested that the City of Miami reallocate $100,000 from the YWCA Expansion (705606) to the Commercial Facade Program (799602) and allocate C.D.B.G. funds in the amount of $22,400.00 with the Allapattah Business Development Authority receiving $11,200.00 and the Pierre Toussaint Haitian Catholic Center, Inc. receiving $11,200.00 for the implementation of the facade improvement program of the following properties: Allapattah Area Banos Towing --Storage Banos Towing --Administrative Office Banos Towing --Property Management Banos Towing --Towing Banos Towing --Towing private property 1726 N.W. 21 st Terrace 2100 N.W. 17th Avenue 2100 N.W. 17th Avenue 2100 N.W. 17th Avenue 1726 N.W. 21st Street ` �r�Grt �►SI o� 0 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission Luis M. The Pierre Toussaint Haitian Catholic Center, Inc. would assume responsibility for completion of all pertinent documentation, and would forward such information to the City of Miami NET. Therefore, per the aforementioned legislation, it is requested that the attached resolution be adopted. Attachment
