RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING .AN INDIVIDUAL AS A
MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI GENERAL EMPLOYEES' AND SANITATION
EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT TRUST FOR A TERM AS
DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA: `
Section 1. The following individual, selected from a
list of nominees submitted by the City Independent Group Union
("CIGU") is hereby appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees'
Retirement Trust Board of Directors, to serve a term expiring
May 25, 1999:

Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

PENSION ADMINISTRATOR CITY OF h iAMC G.E.S.E

RECOMMIENDAI WA.
It is recommended that the City Commission select, from a list submitted, the appointment of an individual as
member.of the City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust Board of
Trustees as per attached Resolution.
City of Miami Code Section 40-243 (A), (Ordinance No. 10002), provides for the appointment of a nine member
board of trustees to administer and manage the retirement plan known as the "City of Miami General Employees'
and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust." Of these nine members, one is to be selected by the City
Manager. two by the general employees (A.F.S.C.M.E. bargaining unit), and two.by the sanitation employees
(C.I.G.U. bargaining unit). Four independent trustees are to be selected by the City Commission per
recommendation by the two bargaining units.
Mr. Norman Charles, President, has submitted a list of individuals from which the commission may select an
individual for appoinment to the Pension Board (see attached letter). The term of office would begin on
May 26, 1997, and expire on. May 25, 19".
