ENCLOSURES:
Commissioner
Ordinance 97-183, is a resolution that requires all youth serving organizations operating
programs in City of Miami parks to conduct a minimum of one fund raising special event
with proceeds to be used for the recently implemented park user fees. The ordinance had
been amended to require that these fund raising special events be held by November 30,
1997. However, according to the Parks and Recreation Department, these organizations
have not been able to comply with the deadline of November 30, 1997. These fund
raising special events are essential to the youth of our city. Therefore, Ordinance 97-183
must be amended to extend the deadline to at least June 30, 1998.
