A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $50,000 TO
THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (DDA) FOR
THE PURPOSE OF BEAUTIFYING THE DOWNTOWN TARGET
AREA FOR THE HOLIDAYS; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000, FROM REVENUES RECEIVED
FROM THE SALE OF HOUSING BONDS AND THE AMOUNT
OF $25,000 FROM REVENUES RECEIVED FROM URBAN
DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN
A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR THIS
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of providing . assistance to the
Downtown Development Authority for the purpose of purchasing and installing holiday
lighting and decorations and beautifying the Downtown Target Area; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of $50,000 has been identified to fund this project;
$25,000 from revenues received from the sale of housing bonds and $25,000 of program
revenues from Urban Development Action Grants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution
are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.

Section 2. The amount of $50,000 is hereby allocated to the Downtown
Development Authority (DDA) for the purpose of beautifying the downtown target area for
the holidays, with funds therefor hereby allocated as follows: 1) $25,000 from revenues
received from the sale of housing bonds, and 2) $25,000 from revenues received from
Urban Development Action grants.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized' to execute the necessary
documents, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for the purpose of implementing
said beautification project.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
