RESOLUTION NO 9 7 - 8 6
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF THE
BELLE MEADE ISLAND HOMEOWNERS
ASSOCIATION, INC. TO - INSTALL AN
IDENTIFICATION SIGN WITHIN THE PUBLIC
STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY AT NORTHEAST 9TH
AVENUE BETWEEN BELLE MEADE ISLAND DRIVE
AND NORTHEAST 76TH STREET, IN THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA, SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS
CONTAINED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, members of the Belle Meade Island Homeowners Association, Inc.,
have requested permission from the City of Miami to install a sign identifying Belle Meade
Island within the public street right-of-way at Northeast 9th Avenue between Belle Meade
Island Drive and Northeast 76th Street, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami is responsible for the maintenance of the public
street right-of-way at this location; and
WHEREAS, the Belle Meade Island Homeowners Association, Inc. agrees to
execute a written agreement, subject to the approval of the Administration, that assumes
complete responsibility for the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance, and all
associated costs of said sign; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission after careful consideration of this matter deems
it advisable that the herein identification sign is in the best interest of the public,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this
Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set
forth in this Section.
Section 2. The request of the Belle Meade Island Homeowners Association,
Inc. to install. an identification sign within the public street right-of-way at Northeast 9th
Avenue between Belle Meade Island Drive and Northeast 76th Street, in the City of
Miami, Florida, is hereby approved.
Section 3. All costs for the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance
of the sign and any related incidental expenses shall be borne by the Belle Meade Island
Homeowners Association, Inc.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
