ENCLOSURES:
The attached proposed Resolution has been prepared in order
to provide compensation, in the amount of $18,000.00, for special
counsel to the Code Enforcement Board for Fiscal Year '97-98.
Funds are available from Account No. 820101.
The use of special counsel to serve as the legal advisor to
the Code Enforcement Board is required because the City Attorney
prosecutes code violations before the Board. It is impermissible
for the City Attorney to serve as the legal advisor to the Code
Enforcement Board while prosecuting code violations before the
same.
