RESOLUTION NO. " � 803
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SPECIAL CHARGES, TERMS
AND CONDITIONS, AS SPECIFIED HEREIN, FOR THE USE OF
THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM BY INTERFOREVER SPORTS,
INC. FOR ITS PRESENTATION OF THE GOLD CUP SOCCER
TOURNAMENT FEATURING THE WORLD CHAMPION
BRAZILIAN TEAM TO BE HELD FEBRUARY 3RD AND 5TH,
1998; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND
INTERFOREVER SPORTS, INC. FOR SAID PURPOSE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following special charges, terms and conditions are hereby
established for the use of the Orange Bowl Stadium by Interforever Sports, Inc. for its
presentation of the Gold Cup Soccer Tournament featuring the World Champion Brazilian
team to be held February 3rd and 5th,. 1998: 1) payment of a use fee in the amount of
$5,000, or ten percent (10%) of gross ticket sales, with a cap of $15,000 per event day,
2) paying for all necessary costs of city services and applicable fees associated with said
event, 3) obtaining insurance to protect the city in the amount as prescribed by the City
Manager or his designee.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized' to execute an agreement, in a
form acceptable to the City Attorney, with Interforever Sports, Inc. for said purpose.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution
establishing a cap of $15,000 for the Use Fee for the presentation of the Gold Cup Soccer
Tournament at the Orange Bowl Stadium on the 3rd and 5th of February, 1998.
BACKGROUND
The Department of Conferences, Conventions & Public Facilities recommends the Use Fee be
capped at $15,000 in order to secure this prestigious event at the Orange Bowl Stadium. The
Gold Cup Soccer Tournament will feature the World Champion Brazil team and other
professional soccer teams. The event will draw international media attention and is expected to
have approximately 40,000 attendees.
The City will receive a Ticket Surcharge, and retain all -revenues from food & beverages, and
parking, in addition to the Use Fee. The event is expected to produce net revenues to the City in
excess of $180,000.
