A RESOLUTION CODESIGNATING NORTHWEST 10TH AVENUE, FROM NORTHWEST 67TH STREET TO NORTHWEST 71 ST STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS "IDA T. RATCLIFFE AVENUE"; DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE -HEREIN DESIGNATED AGENCIES. WHEREAS, the Model City community would like to recognize the first principal of Miami Northwestern Senior High School; and WHEREAS, Ida T. Ratcliffe was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her for her dedication to improving scholastics at Miami Northwestern Senior High School; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 10761, adopted July 12, 1990, created the Miami Street Codesignation Committee and entrusted the committee with the responsibility of reviewing street codesignation requests and making recommendations to the City Commission as to whether or not a street should be codesignated or a marker or plaza should be designated; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Commission's directive, the Miami Street Codesignation Review Committee, at its meeting of October 8, 1997, reviewed the proposal for a street codesignation honoring Ida T. Ratcliffe, and CITY- COISSIION MEETING OF OCT 2 8 1997 Resolution No. 97- 778 recommended the proposed codesignation of N.W: 10th Avenue, from N.W. 67th Street to N.W. 71st Street, Miami, Florida, ass "Ida T. Ratcliffe Avenue". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and fin6gs contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated .herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Miami City Commission hereby codesignates Northwest 10th Avenue, from Northwest 67th Street to Northwest 71 st Street, Miami, Florida, as "Ida T. Ratcliffe Avenue". Section 3. The City Manager is hereby directed to instruct the Director of Public Works to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Police Department, Fire -Rescue Department Department of General Services, Department of Solid Waste, Dade County Public Works Department and the United States Postal Service. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28thday of October 1997 ATTES WALTER J.
