BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Commission hereby confirms the election of the following individuals, as members of the Overtown Advisory Board, each member to serve a term of one year from the date'of election, which took place on July 31, 1997: my CON3038M MEETING OF, SEP 0 9 Resolution No. 5�4- Section 2. The Community Redevelopment Agency office held an election on July 31, 1997 for members to the Overtown Advisory Board. Thirteen individuals were elected to serve as members of said board. The Commission at large is requested to confirm the following individuals to be appointed as members: Karen Cartwright, Jimmie Beck, Dane Braddy, Anderson Curry, Henry Crespo, Dorothy Fields, Charles Flowers, Morris Mays, Jackie Murphy Wells, Richard Robinson, Lillian Slater, Trense Turner, and Balam Welcome. FOEMAN, City Clerk of the City of Miami, Florida, do hereby certify that the necessary steps were taken pursuant to Ordinance 11211 in connection with the conduct of the Overtown Advisory Board Election held on July 31, 1997. Said election was conducted in order to fill thirteen (13) vacancies of the Overtown Advisory Board. The election was held at the Overtown Advisory Board's Office located at 1490 N.W. 3 Avenue from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. I. Thirteen (13) individuals qualified as candidates for Overtown Advisory Board membership. Said thirteen candidates' names were placed on the ballot. 11. A total of 166 ballots were cast in said election. III. Voters were allowed to vote for either one or any number of the 13 candidates of their choice. There were a maximum of 13 choices allowed per ballot. IV.
