HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-97-02461 J-97-123 3/5/97 9 7- 246 i RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE NUISANCE ABATEMENT BOARD FOR TERMS AS DESIGNATED HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individuals are hereby appointed as members of the Nuisance Abatement Board, each to serve a term expiring May 5, 1997, or until the nominating commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first: Deferrd Pierre Rutledge Vice -Mayor Tomas Regalado Commissioner Humberto Hernandez Section 2. Foeman REFERENCES: (March 20, 1997 Agenda) City Clerk ENCLOSURES: (List of Members) The Nuisance Abatement Board was created to resolve controversies over the existence of public nuisances, such as violative use of property in Miami. City Code Section 2-429 states: "The terms of office of the members of each board shall run concurrently with the term of office of the commissioner that nominates each member. When the nominating commissioner leaves office the board member's term shall expire." Two appointments are needed at this time: • Commissioner Hernandez has one nomination. Said seat is currently held by Monique Taylor, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Dunn, for a tern which will expire on May 5, 1997. • Vice Mayor Aegaiado has one nomination. Said seat is currently vacant due to the resignation of Rolando Delgado. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board.
