Most notable of these restoration projects, is the award winning 17 story landmark Freedom Tower building. The Civic Association takes great pride in its involvement in a variety preservation issues. Annually, MCA coordiates a home tour so that we may share our historic homes with visitors from other parts of the community. This year over 1000 people attended the MCA home tour. The Historic and Enviromneaml Preservation Board is a critical regulatory oversight committee to preserve the character of our historic homes. We support the City's effort to maintain the historic integrity of our neighborhood and would like to serve in an active capacity by having Morningside representatives serving on the MEP Board.
