HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-97-0209J-97-539 3/27/97 RESOLUTION NO. 9 7- 209 A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE 1997 MARCH OF DIMES WALK AMERICA EVENT TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE MARCH OF DIMES BIRTH DEFECTS FOUNDATION ON APRIL 5, 1997; AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE GLASS HOUSE, LOCATED IN COCONUT GROVE'S PEACOCK PARK, FOR THE EVENT, CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS: (1) PAYING A FEE OF $35.00 PER HOUR FOR USE OF THE FACILITY PLUS ALL OTHER NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT; (2) OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE; AND (3) COMPLYING WITH ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR I HIS DESIGNEE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The use of the Glass House, located in Coconut Grove's Peacock Park, by the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation in connection with their 1997 Walk America Event, to be held on April 5, 1997, is hereby authorized. Section 2. The herein authorization is conditioned upon the organizers (1) paying a fee of $35.00 per hour for use of the facility, plus all other necessary costs of city services and applicable fees associated with said event; (2) obtaining insurance to protect the city in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee; and (3) complying with all conditions and limitations as may be prescribed the City Manager or his designee. Ust year was the first year that we did not use it and it was sadly niisscd. We need your help to ask for permission for us to use it this year. The date of WalkAmeriea is Saturday, April 51h.
