Discussion Item
(Feb. 20, 1997 meeting)
On July 1 I, 1996, late City Commission authorized the implementation of barricades on
certain streets in hair Model City neighborhood. At this time, the Metro -Dade County
Commission is seeking our cooperation to implement a new program designed to
increase the safety of our residents. However, in order to initiate this new effort the
previously mentioncd barricades must be removed. Ivlwa-Dade County Commissioner
Barbu n Carey, of .DiNLri4. 3, will speak and discuss this attempt to enhance the well-
being of those ,who rG,ide in the Model City neighborhood.
