BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individuals are hereby appointed as members of the Citywide Community Development Advisory Board, each member to serve a term expiring May 5, 1997, or until the nominating commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first: A OINTF S• NOMINATED BY - Michel Lubin Mayor Joe Carollo Steve Marin Commissioner Humberto Hernandez Section 2. The board will be'resp: sii,--:_ for providing a leadership role in encouraging target area -wide resident participation io ii`t_ -: ywide grant process as follows: (a) Promoting interest in grant activities in the tarp:.' a -4�E,_ (b) Providing residents with an opportunity to discuss community concerns and relates ±Ssues; (c) Providing an opportunity for City residents to identify community needs; (d) Facilitating two-way communication with government representatives and target area residents, and at�_`.sting the City in communicating its program services and benefits to residents; (e) Recommending priorities for community improvements; (f) Reviewing the progress of community improvement activities; and (g) Conducting public meetings. Two (2) appointments are needed at this time: • Mayor Carollo has one nomination to fill a vacancy. • Commissioner Hernandez has one nomination. Said seat is presently held by former Commissioner Richard P. Dunn, If, who had nominated himself as a member of the b _ °d for a term which will expire on May 5, 1997.
