Koraclu CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Yvomo McDonay MichaelMdiee Vice Mayor Tomas Regalado City of Miami 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 Dear Vice Mayor Regalado: Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to meet with you regarding the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce office at Peacock Park. After our meeting with you to discuss the possibility of using the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce as an official City of Miami Welcome Center, we presented it to our Board of Directors. Our Board was very supportive of this idea and looks forward to this opportunity. to work with the City. Donnasweeny Tina voldeslCmddan To accomplish the transition to an official Welcome Center, we are prepared to provide the following: • Install signage at the glass house indicating that we are a "Welcome Center" providing tourist information. • Educate the public as to our presence and the services offered through public relations efforts. • Maintain hours of operation 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10 am — 4 p.m. on Saturday. • Recruit interns and volunteer chamber members to man the Welcome Center on alternating Saturdays — ideally, City of Miami employees would be provided for the remaining Saturdays. In exchange, the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce would like to remain tenants of the City of Miami at the current favorable rental rates. We look forward to having this arrangement approved by the City of Miami Commission so that we may move forward expeditiously. Please call if you need any further information. Thank you for your consideration of this proposal. Yours truly, Ivan F.
