PERSONAL APPEARANCE: Mr. Donald Banjamin, Executive Director of St. John Community Development Corporation, Inc., has requested a personal appearance before the City Commission, to discuss funding for the proposed Lyric Village Housing Project, planned in the Overtown neighborhood. BACKGROUND: At the October 28, 1996 Community Development Agency (CRA)* Board meeting, the Board of Directors approved the recommendation of the Selection Review Committee, to award the development rights to the development team of the St. John Community Development Corporation, Inc. and Related Group of Florida, Inc., in connection with the development of the 96-unit Lyric Village Housing Project. Presently, the aforementioned project sponsor is seeking City financial assistance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 from the City's FY 1997 - 1998 HOME Program, for construction financing and second mortgage financing for the prospective homebuyers in connection with the aforementioned housing project. 97- 505 3
