ORDINANCE NO. • `
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PLACEMENT OF
NEWSRACKS IN PUBLIC RIGHTS -OF -WAY IN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BY REPEALING EXISTING ARTICLE VII OF
CHAPTER 54 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, PERTAINING TO
SUCH REGULATION AND SUBSTITUTING, IN LIEU
THEREOF, A NEW ARTICLE VII IMPOSING SAFETY
AND AESTHETIC RESTRICTIONS RELATED THERETO;
PROVIDING FOR PURPOSE; PROVIDING DEFINITIONS;
PROVIDING FOR NEWSRACK CERTIFICATION
PROCEDURES AND FEES; REQUIRING INSURANCE AND
INDEMNIFICATION; ESTABLISHING STANDARDS FOR
OPERATIONS, PLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION OF
NEWSRACKS; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT AND
APPEALS; MORE PARTICULARLY BY REPEALING
SECTIONS 54-261 THROUGH 54-269 AND
SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS 54-261
THROUGH 54-273; PROVIDING DIRECTIONS FOR
TRANSMITTAL OF COPI-ES OF THIS ORDINANCE;
CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
