If the reasons given for this unpopular decision are to be examined - crime, vandalism and
illegal activities, we would like to point out that unfortunately such situations are all too
prevalent in the neighborhood. The homeowners and residents of our area have had very good
co-operation with the police and NET officers, with appreciable success. Following the logic
of the Wainwright Park area resident(0) the Commissioners should also speedily approve Ilse

Among the users of the Wainwright Park roadway, are persons who exercise regularly;
runners, joggers, walkers, cyclists, of all ages, besides parents with their children who would
like to continue having the park easily available for Ihcir use. L?xcrcise and fresh air arc a very
necessary part of our way of life. Many would be loath to lose this right, and would certainly
remember NOT to vote at election days for those Commissioners and others seeking public
office who approved this barrier, for the benefit of very few, and the tietrlttlCnl Mitt

We trust that your good sense would make you realize that many voters and taxpayers are very
opposed to the closing of this public roadway, and appeal to you to prevent this if you can.
