CITY CLERK'S REPORT
MEETING DATE: May 5, 1997
Note for the Record: Prior to convening of the special
meeting, Commissioner Gort stated there were problems
regarding illegal dumping of trash on the Farmers' Market
property. The City Manager gave the Commission the
telephone numbers of key members of the Administration
(including that of City Manager Edward Marquez, Aaron
Weeks, Bob Nachlinger and Ron Williams) who could be
reached at all times to follow up with the enforcement of the
City Code in connection with these types of violations.
Note for the Record: Prior to the special meeting convening,
Commissioner Plummer inquired of whether NET office could
take the addresses and phone numbers of individuals who
were placing illegal signs on Banyan trees in public right-of-
way and fine said individuals.
Note for the Record: Commissioner Plummer congratulated
the Miami Heat on its 91-83 victory against the Orlando Magic
and its winning of the first round of the Eastern Division of the
National Basketball Association Playoff series.
Direction to the Administration: by Commissioner Plummer to
provide a copy to the City Commission concerning monthly
reports on the task force and fee collections submitted to the
State Financial Emergency Oversight Board.
Direction to the City Manager: by Commissioner Plummer to
prepare in memorandum form a list of options, (including the
City running its own seaport) to be considered by the City
Commission at its regular meeting of Wednesday, May 7,
1997.

MODIFICATIONS SET FORTH IN THE ATTACHMENT,
ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE
ANY AND ALL NON -SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES TO SAID
PLAN NECESSARY FOR THE REPRINTING OF SAID PLAN.
