Mr. Jose A. Colmenares was a very active exile and community leader in the City of
Miami. He lived on Northwest 3rd Street for 35 years, until his death on January 12,
1994. I recommend that we honor Mr. Jose A. Colmenares by recognizing, Northwest
3rd Street between 8th Avenue and 12th Avenue, as Jose A. Colmenares Way.
