HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-98-1217J-98-1229 12/3/98 RESOLUTION NO. y 8 12 17 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO SCHEDULE A DULY ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING AT THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED CITY COMMISSION MEETING IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE MEETING AT WHICH THE CITY COMMISSION EXPRESSES ITS DESIRE TO REALLOCATE OR REPROGRAM ANY U.S. HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ("U.S. HUD") FUNDS, SAID PUBLIC HEARING TO COMPLY WITH ALL NOTICE PROVISIONS PURSUANT TO APPLICABLE LAW. WHEREAS, from time to time, the City Commission expresses its desire to reallocate or reprogram U.S. Housing and Urban Development funds; and WHEREAS, certain reallocations or reprogramming of funds may require a duly advertised public hearing scheduled for said purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to schedule a duly advertised public hearing at the next regularly scheduled City Commission meeting immediately following the CITY Cofewsroff XMING OF DEC Q 9 1998 Resolution Dim 98-t217 meeting at which the City Commission expresses its desire to reallocate or reprogram any U.S. Housing and Urban Development ( ,,U . S . HUD,9 funds. Section 3. Notwithstanding the provisions contained in Section 2 herein, the public hearing scheduled for the purpose of reallocating or reprogramming U.S. HUD funds shall comply with all notice provisions pursuant to applicable law. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.I/ PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of December , 1998.
