HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-98-1141J-98-1209 11/17/98 RESOLUTION NO. 9 8- 1 1 4 1 A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE PARKING FEES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $362.00, FOR USE OF THE ORANGE BOWL'S WEST PARKING LOT ON NOVEMBER 21, 1998, FOR A PUBLIC PRAYER SERVICE TO BE HELD FOR THE CENTRAL AMERICAN VICTIMS OF HURRICANE MITCH, SAID WAIVER CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS: (1) PAYING FOR ALL OTHER NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT; (2) OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE; AND (3) COMPLYING WITH ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Parking fees, in an amount not to exceed $362.00, are hereby waived for use of the Orange Bowl's West Parking Lot on November 21, 1998, for a public prayer service to be held for the Central American victims of Hurricane Mitch. Section 2. The herein waiver is hereby conditioned upon the organizers (1) paying for all other necessary costs of City services and applicable fees associated with said event; (2) obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee; and (3) complying with all conditions and limitations as may be prescribed by the CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF NOV 1 7 1998 Resolution No. - 1 1 4 City Manager or his designee. They will be at the Orange Bowl from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 5:00 p.m. and at 8:00 p.m. I respectfully request that the parking fee for West Parking lot be waived. The fee is $362 and should not be detrimental to the budget of the Orange Bowl. 98-1141
