BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. F City Clerk CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM October 21, 1998 DATE: FILE SUBJECT: Affirmative Action Advisory Board REFERENCES: November 17, 1998 Agenda ENCLOSURES: List of Members, Resolution The Affirmative Action Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Personnel Department. Four appointments are needed at this time: • Commissioner Plummer has two nominations for seats currently vacant due to the resignation of Vicky Leiva and excessive absences of Robert Grill. • Commissioner Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Ivan Barrett who had been nominated by former Commissioner Hernandez. • Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for vacant seat created because Anderson C. Curry was excessively absent. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the November 17, 1998 Commission agenda.
