ENCLOSURES:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution
authorizing the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking to provide Workers'
Compensation Claims Administration Services for the City of Miami.
BACKGROUND
The City of Miami currently administers all of its Workers' Compensation claims. It is
the intent of the City of Miami to streamline its operations and determine if it is feasible,
and in the City's best interest, to privatize the Workers' Compensation Claims
Administration function.
The issuance of an RFP will allow providers to submit proposals for the City to evaluate
and make a recommendation to the Commission.
