before the City Commission to request authorization to sell alcoholic beverages during the Taste
of the Grove scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, January 23-24, 1999.
The organizers of the event have met with City staff, including staff from the Police Department

• Obtaining insurance, including liquor liability, to protect the City of Miami in the amount
stipulated by City requirements.
• Instituting an identification program to assure that only those over the age of twenty-one will
be served alcoholic drinks.
