V 957 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN INDIVIDUAL AS A MEMBER OF THE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE EQUITY STUDY COMMISSION ("COMMISSION") FOR A TERM AS DESIGNATED HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed as a member of the Occupational License Equity Study Commission ("Commission") for a term which shall expire one year from the adoption of the herein Resolution, or until the nominating mayor or commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first: Mirtha Guerra -Aguirre Commissioner Tomas Regalado Section 2. F City Clerk CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA 24 INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM August 14, 1998 DATE: FILE SUBJECT: Occupational License Tax Equity Commission REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: September 8, 1998 Agenda Resolution During the Commission meeting of July 21, 1998, the City Commission passed Motion 98-760 directing the City Manager and the City Attorney to impanel a new tax equity study commission to review -occupational license fees. The Commission stated that appointments to said board would be made later during the day, but the issue was never reconsidered that day and appointments were not made. Commissioner Regalado submitted to our office the name and resume of his nominee (Mirtha Guerra) to said board. However, said nominee was never formalized through Commission action. Seven appointments are needed, as follows: • Each member of the Commission makes one nomination for appointment; • Mayor Carollo makes two appointments.
