Resolution
During the Commission meeting of July 21, 1998, the City Commission passed Motion 98-760
directing the City Manager and the City Attorney to impanel a new tax equity study commission to
review -occupational license fees. The Commission stated that appointments to said board would
be made later during the day, but the issue was never reconsidered that day and appointments were
not made. Commissioner Regalado submitted to our office the name and resume of his nominee
(Mirtha Guerra) to said board. However, said nominee was never formalized through Commission
action.
Seven appointments are needed, as follows:
• Each member of the Commission makes one nomination for appointment;
• Mayor Carollo makes two appointments.
By copy of this memorandum we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the
September 8, 1998 Commission agenda.
