RESOLUTION NO. 817
A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENT (S), AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 98-773, ADOPTED JULY 21, 1998,
RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF FIRE RESCUE
SERVICE, FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS IN THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; MORE PARTICULARLY BY
RESCINDING A PORTION OF SECTION 11 (B) AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAIL THE
COMBINED NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING AS
PROVIDED IN SECTION 19.5-10 OF THE CITY CODE;
FURTHER RESCINDING APPENDIX A OF THE ABOVE
RESOLUTION ENTITLED "ESTIMATED FIRE RESCUE
ASSESSMENT RATE SCHEDULE" (RATE SCHEDULE) IN
ITS ENTIRETY, AND INCORPORATING A NEW RATE
SCHEDULE AS APPENDIX A, ATTACHED HERETO AND
MADE A PART HEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section il(B) of Resolution No. 98-773,
adopted July 21, 1998, is hereby amended as follows:1/.
"SECTION 11. NOTICE BY MAIL.

The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and
unchanged material.

authorized and directed to provide notice by first
class mail to the Owner of each parcel of Assessed
Property, as required by Section 19.5-11 of the
Ordinance. Such notice shall be in substantially the
form attached hereto as Appendix C. Such notices shall
be mailed no later than August 24, 1998."
Section 2. Appendix A to Resolution No. 98-773, adopted
July 21, 1998, entitled "Estimated Fire Rescue Assessment Rate
Schedule" (Rate Schedule), is hereby rescinded in its entirety
and a new Rate Schedule is hereby attached as Appendix A and made
a part hereof.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.Z/

the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.

ESTIMATED FIRE RESCUE ASSESSMENT RATE SCHEDULE
SECTION A-1. DETERMINATION OF FIRE RESCUE ASSESSED COSTS.
The estimated Fire Rescue Assessed Costs to be assessed for the
Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 1998, is $14,540,000.
SECTION A-2. ESTIMATED FIRE RESCUE ASSESSMENTS. The
estimated Fire Rescue Assessments to be assessed and apportioned
among benefitted parcels pursuant to the Cost Apportionment and
Parcel Apportionment to generate the estimated Fire Rescue
Assessed Cost for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 1998, are
hereby established as follows for the purpose of this Preliminary
Rate Resolution:
