" " 793 A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), RESCINDING, IN THEIR ENTIRETY, RESOLUTION NO. 98-360 AND RESOLUTION NO. 98-361; FURTHER, SETTING FORTH AND AUTHORIZING THE SALARY, BENEFITS AND SEVERANCE PAY TO BE RECEIVED BY CITY ATTORNEY ALEJANDRO VILARELLO. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 98-360, adopted April 14, 1998, the salary and benefits to be received by City Attorney Alejandro Vilarello was set forth and authorized; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 98-361, adopted on April 14, 1998, the severance pay to be received by City Attorney Alejandro Vilarello was set forth and authorized; and WHEREAS, based upon the recommendations of the "Oversight Board", Mr. Vilarello and the City Commission have agreed to negotiate a new salary, benefits and severance package; and WHEREAS, in order to provide salary, benefits and severance pay to City Attorney Alejandro Vilarello, pursuant to the terms and agreement acceptable to the Oversight Board, it is now necessary to rescind Resolution No. 98-360 and Resolution No. 98-361, in their entirety; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve a salary, benefits and severance pay package agreed to by the Oversight ATTACHMENT (S) CONTAINED CITY CONII4IISSION MEETING OF J0 L 2 1 1998 gaso3 *Wn Na r b 3_ Board and City Attorney Alejandro Vilarello; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Resolution No. 98-360 and Resolution 98-361, adopted April 14, 1998, which Resolutions set forth the salary, benefits and severance pay to be received by City Attorney Alejandro Vilarello, are hereby rescinded in their entirety. Section 3. Effective April 15, 1998, the salary, benefits and severance pay to be received by City Attorney Alejandro Vilarello, listed on Attachment No. 1, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby set forth and authorized. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective - 2 - 98 - 793 immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.1/ PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July , 1998. ATTEST: WALTER J. Insurance Health Executive Benefit Plan Life 2X Annual Salary AD&D 2X Annual Salary Disability In the event that a disability plan is offered to other City executives, the City Attorney shall have the right to negotiate for a similar benefit.
