WHEREAS, the City of Miami's E91 1 backup site for Police and Fire -Rescue, and the Citywide Emergency Operations Center are located at the Fire College in Coconut Grove; and WHEREAS, said facility will serve as the location for the coordination of all City of Miami services during a potential hurricane; and WHEREAS, this acquisition will provide fuel for the emergency generators for said facility; and WHEREAS, funds are available from the Capital Improvement Program, Project Account Code No. 312034.299401.6.840; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief of Police recommend the purchase of an above ground storage tank with accessories from Convault Florida, Inc., under existing State of Florida SNAPS No. 8301090, be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution CITY CO&UMSION MEETING OF JAll. 2 1 M8 Resolution No. 98 -- '731 are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The purchase of an above ground storage tank with accessories from Convault Florida, Inc., under existing State of Florida Negotiated Agreement Price Schedule (SNAPS) No. 8301090, for the Department of Police, at a total cost not to exceed $19,023.05, is hereby approved, with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Capital Improvement Program, Project Account Code No. 312034.299401.6.840. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption by the Mayor'. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July , 1998. Funds are hereby allocated from the Capital Improvement Project, Account Code No. 312034.299401.6.840. BACKGROUND The City of Miami's E911 back-up site for Police and Fire -Rescue, and the citywide Emergency Operations Center are located at the Fire College in Coconut Grove. This acquisition allows for the purchase of a 3,000 gallon diesel fuel tank with accessories which will provide fuel for the emergency generators for this facility. This facility will serve as the location for the coordination of all City of Miami services during a potential hurricane.
