A RESOLUTION RELATED TO AN EVANGELISTIC
CRUSADE, PRESENTED BY "DIOS ESTA AQUI", TO BE
HELD AT THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM FROM JUNE 22
TO JUNE 27, 1998; AUTHORIZING A CAP ON THE
USER FEE OF $2,000 PER EVENT DAY FOR A TOTAL
OF $12,000 FOR SAID EVENT; FURTHER
CONDITIONING SAID AUTHORIZATION UPON THE
ORGANIZERS: (1) PAYING FOR ALL OTHER
NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND
APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT;
(2) OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY
IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY
MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE; AND (3) COMPLYING
WITH ALL CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE
PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The fee for use of the Orange Bowl Stadium is
hereby capped at $2,000 per event day for a total of $12,000 for
an evangelistic crusade, presented by "Dios Esta Aqui'l, to be
held at the Orange Bowl Stadium from June 22 to June 27, 1998.
Section 2. The herein authorization is hereby
conditioned upon the organizers (1) paying for all other
necessary costs of City services and applicable fees associated
with said event; (2) obtaining insurance to protect the City in
the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee; and

(3) complying with all conditions and limitations as may be
prescribed by the City Manager or his designee.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution
establishing a rate of $2,000 per event day as the Use Fee for the presentation of
Evangelistic Crusade from June 22 to June 27, 1998 to be held at the Orange Bowl
Stadium.
BACKGROUND
The Department of Conferences, Conventions, and Public Facilities recommends the Use
Fee at $2,000 per event day in order to secure the event at the Orange Bowl Stadium.
The City Code establishes a rate of $2,500 per event day.
The City will retain all revenues from food and beverages, in addition to the Use Fee. The
event organizers will pay for all necessary costs of City services and applicable fees
associated with the event. The event is expected to produce net revenues to the City in
excess of $20,000.

ENCLOSURES:
Your authorization is requested to present the attached resolution to the City Commission
for the June 9, 1998 meeting. This resolution is to establish a rate of $2,000 per event day
as the Use Fee for the Evangelistic Crusade at the Orange Bowl Stadium from June 22 to
27, 1998.
The City Code establishes a rate of $2,500 per event day. The Department of Conferences,
Conventions, and Public Facilities recommends the Use Fee at $2,000 in order to secure the
event at the Orange Bowl Stadium. The organizers of this event held a sucessful event at
Milander Auditorium in the past year.
The City will retain all revenues from food and beverages, in addition to the Use Fee. The
event organizers will pay for all necessary costs of City services and applicable fees
associated with the event. The event is expected to produce net revenues to the City in
excess of $20,000.
