RESOLUTION NO. 98 534
A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 2 OF RESOLUTION
NO. 98-315, ADOPTED ON MARCH 24, 1998, TO
CHANGE THE STREET ADDRESS FROM 515 NORTHWEST
71ST STREET TO 515 NORTHWEST 72ND STREET,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR WHICH EAST COAST
ADVERTISING'S REQUEST TO PLACE AN OUTDOOR
ADVERTISING SIGN (BILLBOARD) WAS APPROVED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 2 of Resolution No. 98-315, adopted
on March 24, 1998, is hereby amended in the following
particulars
"Section 2. The request to place an outdoor
advertising sign (billboard) ont he Rroperty located at
approximately 515 Northwest � �— Street is hereby
granted subject to the following conditions:
(1) the landscape plan submitted by the
applicant shall be modified to add more
ground cover, hedges and trees prior to
the issuance of a building permit for the
proposed billboard; and
(2) the property, including all new landscape
materials to be planted, shall be
maintained so as not to create a visual
blight to the neighborhood as the result
of the billboard."
1/ Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored
words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now
in effect and remain unchanged.

RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission approve the attached request to
place an outdoor advertising sign (billboard) on the property located at approximately 515
N.W. 72" Street subject to the conditions specified below.
BACKGROUND
The proposed billboard was approved by the City Commission at its meeting of March
24, 1998. The applicant had inadvertently supplied the City with an incorrect address
which now requires that this proposal be resubmitted for Commission approval. The
Department of Planning and Development is recommending approval with the same
conditions which were requested on March 24" . The recommended conditions are as
follows:
1) The landscape plan submitted by the applicant shall be modified to add
more ground cover, hedges and trees prior to the issuance of a building
permit for the proposed billboard; and
2) The property, including all new landscape materials to be planted,
shall be maintained so as not to create a visual blight to the
neighborhood as the result of the billboard.
