RESOLUTION NO. . - 391
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BAYFRONT PARK
MANAGEMENT TRUST (TRUST) TO REQUEST PROPOSALS
FROM QUALIFIED FIRMS AND/OR INDIVIDUAL(S) TO ASSIST
THE TRUST IN SOLICITING CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP FOR
THE BAYFRONT PARK AMPHITHEATER; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE TRUST TO COMPENSATE THE FIRM OR
INDIVIDUAL(S) WHO PROCURES THE SUCCESSFUL
SPONSOR BY PAYING SAID FIRM OR INDIVIDUAL(S) AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTEEN PERCENT (15%) OF THE
ANNUAL SPONSORSHIP REVENUE ON SUCH TERMS AS MAY
BE ACCEPTABLE TO THE TRUST.
WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust (Trust) has managed Bayfront
Park with the goal of insuring maximum community involvement; and
WHEREAS, the AT&T sponsorship of the Bayfront Park Amphitheater
(Amphitheater) expires September 30, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the Amphitheater sponsorship is an essential component of Bayfront
Park's income stream; and
WHEREAS, the Trust wishes to engage qualified firms and/or individual(s) to assist
the Trust in soliciting corporate sponsorship for the Amphitheater;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution
are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. The Bayfront Park Management Trust (Trust) is hereby authorized to
request proposals from qualified firms and/or individual(s) to assist the Trust in soliciting
corporate sponsorship for the Bayfront Park Amphitheater.
Section 3. The Trust is further authorized to compensate the firm or individual(s)
who procures the successful sponsor by paying said firm or individual(s) an amount not to
exceed fifteen percent (15%) of the annual sponsorship revenue on such terms as may be
acceptable to the Trust.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.

In accordance with Miami Code Sec. 2-36, since the Mayor did not indicate approval of
this legislation by signing it in the designated place provided, said legislation now
becomes effective with the elapse of ten (10) da s from the date of C mmissicn coon
