RESOLUTION NO. 9 8— 3 4 9
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POLICY THAT ALL
CEREMONIAL PRESENTATIONS SHALL TAKE. PLACE AT
9:30 A.M., PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF ALL
REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION WHICH
SHALL CONVENE PROMPTLY AT 10:00 A.M.,
PURSUANT TO THE SECTION 2-32 OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions set forth in
Section 2-32 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended, all regular meetings of the City Commission shall
convene promptly at 10:A.M.; and
WHEREAS, at each meeting the presentation of various
proclamations to our citizenry and commendations for many of the
employees of the City of Miami take place; and
WHEREAS, due to the importance of the items scheduled on a
City Commission Agenda, it is necessary to have all ceremonial
events occur prior to the commencement of a City Commission
Meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby establishes the
policy that all ceremonial presentations shall take place at
9:30 a.m., prior to the commencement of all regular meetings of
the City Commission which shall convene promptly at 10:00 A.M.,

pursuant to the Section 2-32 of the Code of the City of Miami,
Florida, as amended.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of April 1998.
