Mayor Xavier L. Suarez --- In furtherance of the announced policy to sell the City's M.R.C. building, 1 propose we take the former parks and recreation building (located N.E. of the Orange Bowl) off the divestiture list. In that connection, we have a request from the BALINIC organization to use the upstairs space in said park building. They are supposed to fix the roof at their own cost, with licensed contractors. Please schedule Commission consideration of this item. I would like Commissioner Regalado, as Chairman of the Public Facilities Committee, to make a policy recommendation, and for the manager to analyze the feasibility of the concept. Both should be ready by the second meeting in February. Please advise if you have any problems with this timetable.
