WYSONG, III,- / ARIM EDWARD LL ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY / CITY AtTORNEY W2238 - 2 - 98 208 TO CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA 10 INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission FROM Humberto Hernandez Chairman DATE : FILE February 6, 1998 SUBJECT : Procedure for Making Appointments to the Code Enforcement Board REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: The attached resolution sets forth the procedure to be followed by the City Commission in making appointments of regular and alternate members to the Code Enforcement Board under the New Executive Mayor and Single Member District system. Traditionally, the nine appointments have been divided among the Commission by having each Commissioner make two nominations for appointments and the Mayor make one nomination for appointment. However, under the new executive Mayor and Single Member District system, the Mayor no longer makes appointments to City Boards. The proposed resolution sets the most fair and equitable method of apportioning the appointments to the Code Enforcement Board. I hope to bring this item up for City Commission approval prior to the appointments for said Board. 98= 208 1
