AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 181 ARTICLE III, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "FINANCE/PURCHASING AND CONTRACTS GENERALLY", TO ALLOW THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ACCEPT A COMPETITIVE BID WHICH HAS BEEN SECURED BY OR ON BEHALF OF ANY FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, OR MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT, OR FROM ANY OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY AND NOT -FOR -PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS; AND TO EXEMPT THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM ALL COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCEDURES WHEN THE CITY ENTERS INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES OR STATE FUNDED INSTITUTIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OR ACQUISITION OF NECESSARY SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES; MORE PARTICULARLY BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS 18-106 AND 18-107; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION FLORIDA: Section 1.
